Pros
Career Collaborative is a great organization to work for if you are a performance driven self-starter. You are valued and compensated above the Boston area average with a benefit package that is not the “norm” in the Boston area social profit sector. Bottom line is if you are competent and align your dedication with the mission/vision of the organization and participants served; Career Collaborative will be that employer you will compare all others to over the course of your career. The President is a full-time volunteer and the organization is funded largely by private donations, which she has personally had a solid hand in raising since the start of the organization. Her dedication to participants, their families, donors, employers, volunteers, and her team is unparalleled with others at her level within the workforce development sector; and with more 24 years’ experience across multiple organizations in this space and performance management consulting , I am confident in this statement. Career Collaborative is making a difference one job at a time. This is not your traditional non-profit and if you expect to be successful with the work ethic exhibited in a traditional non-profit setting; this is not the environment for you. If you are passionate about the work and changing lives, it will be one of the most rewarding references on your resume.
Cons
