Pros

I work with great people, professional, easy to work with in a virtual setting.

Cons

Compensation does not change, even after 5 years at the same rate. Recently the company was purchased by a very large organization, and except for a "thank you, we couldn't do this without you" there has been no recognition, bonus or salary increases. The other disappointment is there are only a few people who are permanent, and the rest of the coaches are "as needed". This makes it impossible to plan monthly and means I am always chasing more work.

Pros

Careerminds is an incredible resource for anyone navigating a career transition, especially after a layoff. This outplacement resource was included in my RIF package after being laid off from my company following 10+ years of service. The program offers personalized coaching and support with resume building, interview preparation, job market insights, and overall career strategy. Sometimes, it’s just a compassionate ear to vent to, which is invaluable; especially when re-entering the job market after decades, which can be overwhelming and stressful. Additionally, Careerminds provides webinars that are both informative and practical. The coaches are professional, insightful, and genuinely invested in your success. For anyone facing uncertainty after a layoff, this program is truly a godsend and a benefit that makes a real difference. Note: I do not work for Careerminds, but I am genuinely impressed by their services and wanted to share my experience.

Cons

The workshops are highly informative and engaging, which is a significant advantage. However, once they conclude, the knowledge and insights shared, including group discussions, are no longer accessible since recordings aren't provided. I assume this is due to proprietary and privacy reasons, but without detailed note-taking, it’s easy to miss out on valuable takeaways.
