Pros
Low Impact, Straightforward work, solid hours
Cons
Unequal Pay, poor management, mediocre benefits package, extreme favoritism amongst management, ownership and departments, poorly vetted employees who lie about qualifications, and then produce substandard work as a result, no career advancement opportunities, management used to threaten quick and easy replacement if you didn't like how things were run, the list goes on.
New hires that you were made to train were being brought in after lying about qualifications, and at a higher rate than you, the person training them who'd been there for multiple years. No accountability for stolen items. You're responsible for bringing or sourcing your own tools, but somehow, other departments that have access to your stall would come by, and mysteriously you'd be missing tools and items that randomly reappear in/on the maintenance crew's vehicle.
Reviews were consistently late, discussions regarding raises and advancement opportunities fell on deaf ears, or you were passed over for advancement in favor of newer employees without a second thought.
Departmental awards and recognition were only given to front office staff, pretty much ignored the core lot staff that were the ones actually inspecting, cleaning, fixing, and keeping the cars running through the sales. Pizza is about all you'll get every other month...
