Pros

Honestly, the place was pretty good. Nice place to sell copiers and get a work out in during lunch. I was a member of Blink and Crunch down the street and I would do upper body at Blink and legs at Crunch. Reason for this is because Blink had better dumbbells while Crunch had better machines. Yea sure, it didn't always seem like management had my back, but at least I could get a swell on before noon. To be rather candid, I am not the biggest fan of consuming carbs and trans fats during beach season, but I was never about to turn down complimentary grandma slices right before making 200 cold calls in 60 minutes. I would rarely set any meetings but hey, at least I wasn't starving.

Cons

The only con is that I wish I could have sold more copiers. I just couldn't consistently hit quota since I was spending more time on the benchpress than I was on the phones.

Pros

Solid place to not only start but to build a career. I have been with the company for 5+ years and have had the chance to move quickly into another role. If your willing to put the time in this is a great place to earn a living. It will require hard work and you need to be self motivated. This is a place you can create your own schedule. Training is available at any time if you are willing to apply yourself. Classroom, Xerox E Learning, Fiery, and organizational leadership (LDP). The last few places I was at didn’t offer such development. Another pro would be the tenure in leadership. Our president is new at CARR but he has been in the global family for over 8 years and in the industry for 15+. On top of that he is a regular, blue collar, roll up your sleeves guy. NOT a corporate suit like most presidents. The managers are all over 4 years and the VP of sales has 13+ at CARR. This is something that should not be overlooked. Most places go outside for leaders where as CARR and Global seem to look from within. I am excited about the future.

Cons

Sales is not easy especially in todays market. It’s not for everyone. If your not willing to put the time in you will have a hard time being successful. For anyone who is on the fence understand that sales is not a job just because you like to talk to people.
