While most of our competitors have shipped their manufacturing overseas paying as little as $2 an hour, Cascade Designs remain committed to manufacturing in America and keeping our jobs local. We deliberately chosen to manufacture in America as we believe strongly in the quality, sustainability and benefits to our local economy, with nearly 400 full-time employees in Seattle and over 100 in Reno, NV. But as a manufacturing company, we have to be realistic in balancing the cost of producing our products to what consumers are willing to pay for our products. Opening a secondary facility in Reno, NV, will help us invest further in the company and our people. In regard to flexible work schedules you mention, we pride ourselves in providing work/life options for our employees; whether that means an adjusted schedule, working from home, or travelling regularly as part of their position. We do this to suit the varying needs of our employees in order to retain talent. However, this option is not possible for all positions as many need to be on-site in order to complete their jobs, especially with regard to manufacturing.
