Pros
Flexibility: with a toddler and career, I appreciate my boss' flexibility with my work schedule.
Pay: competitive but what sent me into the happy level was the benefits. I've never had insurance this good, plus the paid time off components that I negotiated has helped me have a more balanced work/home life. My baby girl sure appreciates having a happier mom!
Culture: While not perfect, our CEO and HR Director are trying to make it perfect! If we spend more time together than with our own families, we want to enjoy working as a team, so this year there is a big focus and monthly hour-long training on positive culture, respect, teamwork, etc. with practical outlays to this
Cons
As a primarily Medicaid budget I cannot get the exact pay I want, but they spice it up with better benefits to me and time off which compensates for the pay grade, plus more work flexibility with a small child. That's why I made the switch to this organization and I don't regret it at all!
