Pros

This company has the unique combination of extraordinary talent and heart. The leadership sets the tone for the entire organization with their passion for change and the whole team rallies behind them to deliver leading edge technology and domain expertise to expertly guide customers to successful deployments of Casebook. After nearly 20 years in HHS technology for government, I am relieved and thrilled to work for an organization that delivers on its promises to customers by focusing on great user experience, data-informed decision-making and a tangible return on investment. This company is going to shake-up the business as usual, high-priced, low value, cumbersome technology currently being offered to HHS agencies!

Cons

Like all upstart, rapid-growth technology companies, there is more to do on a daily basis than one can get one's head around. But, the commitment level of the staff and the can-do, stay-late-to-get-it-done attitude is infectious and hugely satisfying. This team never disappoints, even if it's incredibly tiring.

Pros

Important, meaningful work in the public service; committed, good people and very strong developers, at least one of whom I would describe as exceptional (though they've since left the company)

Cons

On-boarding was virtually non-existent, which was problematic in light of the complexities inherent to the service & the code-base. I was brought in to help with a specific issue (according to multiple, lengthy conversations with the technical interviewer who ultimately recommended my hiring), but I was immediately and consistently assigned where I had no background, ergo a recipe for failure.
