Pros

Salary can be quite good in specialist roles. although there a piece to pay.

Cons

They are just horrendous. Unprofessional with customers, lack of training, no interest in your customer service skills, they all about money and are very defensive. You can't apologise to customers unless absolutely necessary and they avoid goodwill at all costs, making your job very difficult. They are just a dodgey company all round, barely heard from my actual manager at all, didnt have a clue what I was doing. Was sent home with a laptop on the first day despite being told I'd be in the office for a few weeks first for training. They said only people who live in Blairgowrie can work in the office during lockdown and yet certain people in my team living in Perth were in there throughout. Holidays include bank holidays and are less than most places. Training was watching videos of how to migrate from one of their old systems to another. I wish I'd listened to everyone's advice before joining and properly checked the reviews.

Pros

Some amazing people work there. The business shows a clear preference in promoting from within so the opportunities for advancement are there if you can show results. There is generous sick pay, bereavement leave and maternity cover plus some other minor perks. Pay is quite decent and I have never had a request for annual leave turned down

Cons

Systems and processes routinely rolled out without proper consultation with the staff who will be using them, resulting in issues for customers and staff alike. Lessons still not learned. High staff turnover, largely due to the CEO micromanaging every aspect of the business, including all salaries and bonuses. While undoubtedly very good at his job, he consistently fails to take advantage of the talents of the great people that work for him. Unless your department head/director has some clout and can push back on the CEO to just allow you to get on with work, your department is likely to become quite dysfunctional. I've seen some very deserving people go without bonuses despite putting in incredibly hard work, for what is quite frankly ridiculous reasons. This made a terrible and lasting impression on my entire team and was a severe blow to morale. Also nepotism at play. They're not necessarily bad in their respective roles, but they're not necessarily great either.

Pros

Easy location. Paid lunch on Fridays

Cons

I was shown how to do something once the. Expect to be a master. Training was non existent and the staff that I did ask for help rolled their eyes. I didn’t do anything for two weeks and then told in my quality was where it needed to be despite asking if they were happy with what I was doing.
