Don’t go there - Chef Catering Academy Employee Review

Good team to work with. Some in-house training. Immediate management are down to earth people that take care of their employees.

No real posibility of promotion. I worked there for 18 months on a zero hour contract, giving them all the availability and all the hours they needed off me. Even though we were severely understaffed, they never considered promoting me to supervisor, getting more waiters or giving me a full-time contract, which other members of staff had. Also, next to no training provided, even though they call themselvas an academy.

Being able to flee this company as fast as my feet will take me. Taken over by servest, the servest management hopefully will steady the ship. Some truly great team members.

The academy suffers unethical senior management, even falsifying documents. Senior managers waiting outside team members homes when they have been sighed off work by a doctor, then bragging excitedly to Managers on brilliant it was to have got them, as they had left there house. With senior managers making unreasonable requests, asking literally the impossible. Fellow managers breaking down and feeling bullied. Colleges having been dismissed to be reinstated or paid off, as they had been unlawfully dismissed (embarrassing and repeated on several occasions I am aware of)
