Pros
People you work with everyday. They are almost the only reason you will stay (longer) in this company; Days fly by fast, you will be busy all day long.
Cons
Many redflags right from the beginning. HUGE turnover, people mostly come and leave within a year in the company, when they got enough experience and want a more stable work-life balance. You won't see many people with more than 5 years. If you stay for a longer time (> 5 years), do not expect anything from the company, they do not value experienced people, nor they congratulate them for staying in this mess. If multitasking is not your thing, just look elsewhere: you basically have the workload of two/three people. You never finish your tasks in time. You just pile up things, adding backlog on backlog every week. Company value quantity over quality. People make more mistakes under pressure, adding more work on your shoulders. Management is just pushing people to burn out. Outdated processes and tools to work properly. Lots of wasted time on excel documents, amateurish approach on tools you use everyday. Lack of good communication, no one understands the job of other groups. You have no idea if the work you do has a plus-value for your collegues or is just time wasted. Waste of time and ressources on micromanagement, at every level in the company. Processes add up over and over, greatly slowing your job. Sometimes, process in use yesterday changes the next day, adding more stress and (of course) more work on you. Management refuse to go into the real problem of this company: having efficient work habits from the very core and experienced people to tell them how to run a CRO properly. No long term vision, you constantly fix issues over issues without changing the way you work. You can always make suggestions, share your ideas on how the job can be faster/better if you decide to go that way, they won't move a thing; they're too afraid of change. CellCarta has grown too fast, while keeping the habits of a small company. Upper Management does not have the time to sit down and analyse this chaotic situation. The boat is sinking but their decision is like a bad remake of the Titanic.
