Pros
Competitive wages and laid back atmosphere. If you're fresh out of college this may be a stepping stone for you.
Cons
Unethical, As a sales rep you assume all liability and risk what is called deacts. You are expected to run a credit check on people and as long as they have proper ID, know their social security info, and have a major credit card to pay then you are good to go. The problem is if they deactivate their account within the first 6 months for any reason, you as an employee lose the commission and in a lot of cases, even more. You had absolutely no say so in whether they were qualified for their purchase. Verizon runs their credit, but yet you get charged months down the road if they abandon their service for ANY reason. You will be expected to charge customers $40 set up and programming fees for every transaction so the employees and company can make more money. They charge PREMIUM pricing, which is typically $50 to $150 more than the corporate locations charge. They are charging the consumer more money than they should in order to pay themselves and their sales reps. The reps that are unethical and crooked are the sales reps that are rewarded and "successful" with this company, and it's unfortunate that the consumer has no idea they are being done this way. They are a big enough entity with Verizon to not care if what they are doing is wrong. These are just a couple of examples of why I would never recommend working for this authorized retailer.
