Pay is average for this area, tuition reimbursement plan is generous, easy commute from home, wonderful nurses and physicians to work with

This is a very top heavy organization, many layers of upper management and plagued by blatant nepotism. Building Huntley hospital was the CEO's pet project. Now the health system has spent an exorbitant amount of money to build it and it still is operating well under capacity while the McHenry campus is busting at the seams. Management asks for feedback (loves to send out multiple surveys, mailers and posters reminding you to take the surveys) but doesn't want to hear or address the negative feedback. Many of us saw the opportunity to merge with Northwestern as a great thing but it seems to be on indefinite hold.
