As a service technician with centerline communications your life will be in the truck or on the job site. Expect very little personal or downtime for yourself, shifts may last in excess of 20 hours and include hundreds of miles of driving which is an unsafe condition and is overlooked by the company. Management is only barely effective, expect plenty of lip service and false promises and dead ends. Management has been allowed to hire close friends and it is very cliquey you are either in or out. You are on call sometimes for a week at a time all by yourself, and because you are by yourself you will be expected to cover the entire state in which you live for any emergency calls that come up, which all have a deadline to meet. Do not expect your coworkers or direct supervisors to have a high standard for quality of work. Any questions raised will be met with excuses and misgivings and you will be labeled a troublemaker, so be sure to never make a fuss about anything, especially the long hours or dangerous working conditions. They say they will give you a hotel if you are out working late, but calls for that help are met with ridicule. If you're too tired to carry on safely it will also be met with ridicule, your best bet is to try and work through it. And even if you're out late the night before, expect to get a call after a few hours sleep to come back in due to work ticket volume. In short, this place is a crusher and you will be crushed working here stay far away and do not consider center line if you value your life and your livelihood as a service Tech.
