Pros
I can leave work at work.
I never spend ALL day in lab, or ALL day in the office. Every day involves movement. If you're coming from the world of minimum wage, retail, service, that type of thing, this is a way better job. A fair amount of autonomy, but you mostly work on a team and interact with co-workers all day every day.
Cons
If you're coming from a science background, this job doesn't actually involve much science. It's not a microscopes-and-labcoats job. It's a steel-toe-boot-and-hairnet job.
Background noise in lab may bother some. Sterile (company-provided) scrubs are worn over clothes in lab. Those are fine, but some of the time you wear sterile gowning over that, for 2-5 hours at a time. That means no water or bathroom breaks for that time period.
