Pros
They set clear expectations. Just about every shift you will know what you have to accomplish for the day.
Cons
Lower management likes to spy on employees. I noticed a few times I was being watched and photographed from dark corners and small hiding places around to plant. When I confronted a manager about it he lied about what he was doing. He said he was taking inventory by taking pictures of some 2x2 beside me. To get ahead you will have to back stab and throat cut. Lower management is usually threatened by rising stars so do not expect much support. Although the expectations are clear, the production numbers they set for the day or week are not always realistic. There is no such thing as job security here. They conduct layoffs and firings in the most cowardly way. They will likely do it over the phone without giving much explanation. They may even leave you a message telling you not to come in for your shift. I had to spend about three hours on the road just to pick up the my personal items in my locker. They laid me off on a weekend over the phone when they could have done it on the Friday and at least saved me the time and gas.
