Pros

Nice people Some teams try innovative stuff Lunch is included You can seat with every team and try to understand a bit better about their work Comprehensive-time offs (sick days, apartment looks, etc) [if comparing to other companies]

Cons

Bad at feedbacks, especially negative ones Too controlling o time you work, materials you use, etc Lack of leadership in some areas Trying to hire only the best paying a salary that could be better, slows down the process There's no arguing with some people Some expenses have to accumulate before they pay you (and nobody tells you this beforehand) Conference money is a joke due to actual costs of going to conferences Too much politics

Pros

Autonomous teams - We have squads focused on products and we have freedom to innovate, set our goals and choose our priorities. Company culture - The environment is perfect to learn, share knowledge, collaborate, have fun and create meaningful connections. I have made real friends here and this is specially useful for expats. Agile mindset - Here is a mix of Scrum with the Spotify model plus a little bit of our own spice. People welcome experimentation and strive for continuous improvement. Challenge - Chama is the pioneer and leader in its market in Brazil so it’s a challenge to pave the way and find product market fit. There are lots of things happening at the same time so you will not be bored, everyday is different.

Cons

Hire velocity - As a startup, Chama needs to hire faster, both for development and C-level. Information management - Knowledge of specific parts of the code is concentrate in a few developers. There is a risk of loosing information when one developer leaves the company.
