Pros
When Chambers opened, it had the potential to be an amazing hotel and restaurant. The architecture and design is beautiful and it is filled with important art. The chef, Jean Georges Vongerichten, is world renowned.
Cons
Due to an owner with unrealistic expectations about profit in the hospitality industry, there was constant management turnover. Unsophisticated sycophants were rewarded, while knowledgeable servers who preferred to give their guests more personalized service were punished. Management was not straight forward with feedback. The shift in management focus can be seen in lack of recent positive reviews about the restaurant.
