Pros
- Communication - the communication between everyone in the company (and I get it, it is a small company) is highly encouraged. When I have questions or issues, it's always encouraged that they be brought forth in public channels so everyone has the opportunity to contribute and learn from what is being said.
- Autonomy - Chameleon is 100% remote, we have employees in North America, South America, and Europe who all work asynchronously. The trust put in me to do my best work in my own time is incredibly welcome and rewarding.
- Support - like any startup, the day can get very busy, often feeling like there is more to do than time to do it. The amount of support both from my peers all over the company up to the company founders is absolutely tremendous, both in helping me succeed, but also making sure I am ok and not overwhelmed.
- Community - from my very first day I could tell that the community at Chameleon is friendly, attentive, and supportive. We did a team-building exercise where we attempted to identify fellow employees from a string of emojis. It was all positive things about people, and I was amazed at how well everyone knew each other. It really felt like I was joining a group of friends.
- Highly competitive Pay - I am very happy with the compensation package which was offered to me.
Cons
- I was worried about moving to a StartUp from the (very) large company I was at before, but I have not regretted it.
