Pros

Working at COYL is a positive experience. The leadership team is supportive and approachable, the work is flexible and engaging, and the variety of clients keeps each day interesting. Even in a remote environment, the company fosters a strong sense of teamwork and open communication, making it easy to learn, grow, and feel valued. It's a great place to build your skills while bring a part of a collaborative, encouraging culture.

Cons

While it is a work from home job, it is still work (like any other job). Sometimes managing multiple client items at a time can be stressful, but the managers and directors help to prioritize and has your back when clients ask for too much.

Pros

Flexible remote work, supportive peers

Cons

Blurred leadership boundaries, inconsistent feedback, lack of formal HR structure, and high stress. The work itself can be meaningful, and many coworkers are talented and supportive. However, the leadership structure creates significant instability. There is no clear separation between HR and management, which makes it difficult to address concerns safely. Feedback is often delivered in indirect or public ways, and expectations shift without written clarity. Policies feel loosely defined, leaving employees vulnerable when conflicts arise with clients. Micromanagement and nitpicking were common, while high-level direction and formal processes were lacking. Professional boundaries between leadership and staff were blurred, and decision-making often felt personal rather than policy-driven. For long-term sustainability, the company would benefit from formal HR processes, written performance standards, leadership training, and clearer client boundary policies.
