Pros
I miss my internship / trainee time at CIML as it was very useful, especially for training in basic office skills. I picked up skills like organizing emails, how to report to supervisors efficiently and other methods of professional communication in corporate structure. I did not realize it at the time but now I realize that I have learned how to deal with the times when I make mistakes, have to repeatedly do my work until it is perfect and never compromise on the quality of presentation. I have now more confidence in the way I should approach tasks assigned to me and make quick decisions on how to manage my time more efficiently. I appreciate the frank, direct and constructive feedback of my work during my time at CIML. Now, I’m taking care of 6 projects in a Netherlands-listed firm based in HK with different deadlines, and all those good habits carried from CIML experiences are very useful, such as filing systems, organizational skills, efficiencies and professional written communications including communications to clients (HK Government Department / other listed companies in HK). I’m glad that I could be trained at CIML. I hope that I could keep in touch with them.
Cons
Self -starter as some senior working in different time zone. Thus, limited guidance and discussion with senior.
