Pros
-Former founders are good people -Ability to positively impact people who need help
Cons
ChenMed, a once reputable, trustworthy and relevant brand a few years ago has quite dramatically taken a turn for the worse. Opinion on why: The firm lacks competent leadership to make fiscally responsible financial decisions which in turn affects not only day-to-day operations and the patients who deserve priority care the most, but also employees who work hard and give their all to the company day in and day out. The firm has a tendency to hire dramatically one day and 'grow rapidly' across all teams, and the next day decides to cut hundreds of employees (many of which were just recently hired). Reason for this seems to be because budgets across functions and markets are neither well-informed nor properly set. Firm seems to lack discretion when determining salaries. Bonuses seem to be used to entice new-joiners but are rarely paid. To make matters worse, the firm doesn't provide clear transparency around how layoff decisions were made. Opinions from other colleagues and employees at this company are that while you may be making a positive impact on people, this is not a place that you want to stay in the long term. Highly volatile, poor leadership. Spend your time looking elsewhere.
