Pros
Honestly, the best thing about Cherry are the people. Genuine, friendly, good hearted. I never thought I would say this but I feel like I'm part of a family - as cringe as it sounds. You get to work on some great accounts. And as it's such a big company, there are many different areas you can move to if you want a change. You're listened to and your opinions are valued. And many great mentors to learn and grow from. Work-life balance is great, you're told off for working a minute past 5:30, and having a life outside of work is actively encouraged. Love this place which is why I've been here such a long time
Cons
No place is perfect unfortunately. But the positives of working here far outweigh the cons:
- Has the typical white males in leadership and senior positions set up. They also tend to get rewarded more for doing less
- This is a big one that I really hope Cherry can change moving forward: talent is not rewarded so they leave. Those who are super talented, that go above and beyond, aren't rewarded as they should for carrying more of a workload and responsibility than others. It's unfair and they usually have to hand in their resignation for change to happen. The quality of people remaining has dipped as a result of not doing more to retain those who are talented, which can make for a difficult environment when everyone is not pulling their weight. A real shame as the company hs so much potential
