1. Quota is unachievable. In 2024, only around 3-4 salespeople in the entire company hit quota. They will lie in your interview process and say nearly everyone hits quota. This is false. Nevertheless, company is raising quota. Commission checks will not be nearly as high as you may hope or anticipate, so this should be factored into the decision-making process.
2. KPIs are constantly changing as the focus and priorities shift every week, and managers will micromanage the number of calls, texts, and emails sent on an hourly basis.
3. Interim executives are condescending, confusing, and accusatory. On a weekly basis they suggest that salespeople lack the drive and initiative and that is why quotas are not being hit across the entire company.
4. Company morale is at an all-time low as executives often admit, but they rarely make an effort to ameliorate these issues.
5. Lay offs constantly. I did not feel safe or secure in my job.
