Pros
Good benefits, Stocks (ESPP) not stocks in general
Cons
With the new leadership and mass layoffs that happen at Cisco, its not surprising that everyone in Engineer is leaving for better pasture. Over the past 6 months the changes and re-orgs that have happened has made the working environment worse then ever. Employees such as myself have been put in rolls that best suited for Jr/Interns as the management debacle continues without clear vision as to where Cisco wants to go. Management in their infamous wisdom, did NOT take into account the skill sets of engineers before randomly place them in rolls not suited for their talents and skill sets. Now you have hundreds (if not thousands) of unhappy engineers looking elsewhere for jobs. On top of this, Cisco has decided (not to say out loud) but hints on "working from home" not viable for most employees! I use to consider this one of the big pluses here! With 90% of the workforce commuting its not to be able to take one day a week to work from home, but now even that is being taken away. Instead of making the company the innovative and great culture to work in, the new management is turning Cisco to another sweat shop working everyone to death! Its a sad day when one of the best companies to work for has gone this far downhill!
