Pros
Reflecting on my journey with Classy/GoFundMe, I am filled with appreciation for the positive experience it has been. This organization is a haven for those who are deeply passionate about leveraging technology and innovation to make a meaningful impact. From the outset, my search was for a place where design isn't just seen as an aesthetic choice but as a fundamental, strategic partner shaping experiences. And Classy has lived up to and exceeded those expectations. The work culture here is uniquely balanced between high collaboration and exceptional productivity. Our teams are empowered to make swift decisions, leading to forward momentum without the bog-down of unnecessary hierarchy. This approach not only accelerates our project timelines but also fosters a sense of ownership and pride in our work. What truly sets Classy apart, though, are the people. The camaraderie and mutual respect among colleagues inspire us all to push the boundaries of what's possible, working not just harder but smarter. It's this combination of a supportive environment, a flat organizational structure that encourages initiative, and a team of incredibly motivated individuals that makes Classy not just a workplace, but a community where innovation thrives. It's a place where passionate individuals come together to create meaningful, impactful work.
Cons
One of the hardest parts of working for such a mission driven organization is that most people on the team are driven by doing great things for great organizations, that also means we have a hard time saying No. An even harder time saying No to ourselves, we are Impatient to be Great which sometimes takes a toll for how tight our roadmaps are.
