Pros

After almost six months, it's safe to say that I feel like I've landed the perfect role. Having spent most of my career agency-side, I've worked in established and growing agency, this is one of the most exciting. As you'd expect, the environment is fast-paced and there is a real sense of momentum across the business. In my experience here, the role is very much what you make of it. You are provided with the tools and the autonomy to grow your skills and your department. If you are prepared to take an opportunity and run with it, nothing will hold you back. The culture is defined by a great supportive team and a high level of talent across all squads and departments. From a strategic perspective, it is a pleasure to work alongside our dev team. They are truly some of the best in the industry and having that level of technical excellence available makes a huge difference to the quality of work we deliver, and how we build our relationships with clients.

Cons

Like many agencies, it's not for everyone - if you're looking for an easy ride where you'll focus on one area - go client side. But if you're looking for somewhere exciting, a challenge and somewhere you'll have the power to make a difference, ClearSky is the place for you.

Pros

Exceptional Culture: The team is a genuine highlight. It’s a collaborative, high-caliber environment where the work is respected and the creative process is valued. Access to Leadership: One of the biggest perks here is the lack of ego at the top. When you engage with the CEO and the leadership team, you don't get corporate speak; you get genuine, honest, and thoughtful responses. They actually listen. Room for Impact: Because the company is still maturing, there is a massive opportunity to help shape the direction of the product and the culture.

Cons

Maturity Gaps: It’s no secret that the wider organization is still finding its feet. Processes aren't always perfect, and there are "growing pains" that come with a team that is still evolving. Fast-Paced Learning Curve: If you’re looking for a finished, polished machine where everything is figured out, this might feel chaotic. We are very much in a "build and learn" phase.

Pros

- Freedom to work, no micro management, as long as you are completing work, experimentation and process improvement is encouraged. - Great office culture - Modern tech stack with a focus on improving efficiency using tools such as LLMs. - Direct exposure with clients, allowing you to demo your work and get the recognition deserved. Additionally providing opportunity to improve on soft skills such as presenting to an audience and communicating with non-technical stake holders. - Hybrid working model that I personally prefer - Great team members all willing to jump in and help when needed, no matter how busy they are. - Fair hiring strategy, a lot of time put into ensuring it is right.

Cons

Glasgow office space needs a bit of an upgrade to keep up with our growth.
