Pros

Relatively easy to get hired here because they have such a difficult time recruiting. ClearStar is not selective.

Cons

ClearStar is a sinking ship. Do not pursue employment here. Almost all employees with domain organizational knowledge and valuable industry experienced have been shown the door to make room for Mike Pritts' cronies. Just search the LinkedIn backgrounds of the new leadership team and connect the dots to see that most of these people have past working relationships with the CEO, have no industry experience, and will blindly do Pritts' bidding. If you speak up or make waves, you will be fired. If you disagree with the CEO, he will accuse you of being a troublemaker and label you as an employee with an attitude problem. Pritts' only agenda is to hit unrealistic financial performance expectations of the private equity owners, Hanover Investors, at any cost, no matter the long-term damage inflicted on the company.

Pros

I’ve been with the company for several years, and it’s been incredible to see the transformation taking place. While the past couple of years haven’t been without challenges, it’s clear that leadership is focused on building a stronger, smarter organization - one that’s investing in both its people and its technology. What stands out most is the genuine commitment to employee development. Operations team members have real opportunities to grow through Six Sigma certification, PBSA advanced training, and meaningful cross-training initiatives. These aren’t just check-the-box programs — they’re investments that make a tangible difference in how we work and how we deliver for our clients. On the technology front, the improvements and innovations being rolled out are helping us modernize processes, improve quality, and create more confidence in the services we provide. It’s exciting to see the company truly embrace data, automation, and operational excellence. The journey hasn’t always been easy, but it’s clear we’re moving in the right direction. The leadership team is listening, learning, and pushing for long-term success. I’m proud to be part of a company that’s evolving with purpose and I genuinely believe the best is yet to come

Cons

From my perspective, the biggest challenge has been navigating change. Not everyone is fully on board yet, which can create some interesting internal dynamics at times. You can definitely feel the push and pull between how things used to be and where the company is headed. It’s improving, but it’s still a challenge as we continue to evolve.

Pros

There are some truly great employees who are working tirelessly to keep the company functioning as well as it does.

Cons

The company provides very limited guidance or support. Employees in operations are expected to navigate multiple proprietary and external systems independently, as no formal training is offered. The workload is further strained by an excessive number of meetings, leaving little time to complete actual tasks during regular hours and often resulting in significant after‑hours work. Additionally, expressing viewpoints that differ from management’s is discouraged and can lead to negative attention. Executive management lacks meaningful industry experience and is not equipped to properly support their teams, which contributes to ongoing operational challenges. Micromanagement is common, yet it comes without the direction needed to be successful. Altogether, these factors created an overall negative experience that consistently overshadowed any positives and made long‑term success in the role difficult.
