Family like atmosphere, great benefits, wonderful opportunities for growth not just within the current department you are in but the opportunity and encouragement from leadership to go to other departments if that is what you are interested in.
Cons
the salary is unfortunately not very competitive with certain job titles since it is a state institution. Whatever the state says your payscale is... is what it is.
