Pros

Laid back environment Friendly coworkers

Cons

Clinlab claims to have a management training program, however there is very little training, and very little room to move up. Yes you have to ability to move up into an account management position, however, you will still spend much of your time recruiting. The promotion past account manager to group manager is discussed in the interview process however it isn’t clear how one can work to get to that position. Additionally the group managers to seem to have a clear grasp on their roles within the company, and promoting more people into the position would seem like a huge waste of money. The turnover within this company is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. The company had less than 30 employees when I was hired, and lost more than 10 within the first 6 months I worked there. Nobody discusses when people have left or been fired, and act as though they are unaffected when some of their most tenured employees resign. In order for this company to grow internally to a size where group managers are actually needed, they’ll need to take more care training, developing, and listening to employees, and spend a little less time hitting golf balls and watching movies while the recruiters work. With hard work there is opportunity to control your own paycheck, and make a lot of money. However, this is also heavily dependent on your account manager. Your account manager may force you to work requisitions they know have little to no chance of closing. Goals are a bit of a gray area. When goals are set, it means little to nothing when you reach the goal or don’t, and you’ll likely keep working the same requisition until they find another. All the account managers have good intentions, but the fake it till you make it approach to management only goes so far. Additionally some things are out of the account managers control even. Some account managers are given better accounts than others by upper management, not based on tenure or hard work, but based mostly on how good of friends that account manager is with upper management.

Pros

There were remote days, on-boarding/training provided was top notch for a smaller company, great way to get experience as a recruiter, good option if you are number motivated without being fixated on pay, unlimited PTO, free snacks, free gym

Cons

Unhealthy competitive atmosphere in which it causes the recruiting team to turn against each-other rather than promoting healthy competition, long hours 8:30-5:30pm, but always expected to stay closer to 6pm, changed the WFH requirements, low pay for Boston, hard to climb the sales ranks due to a percentage tier for contract placements, company events outside work hours, unethical recruiting styles
