Great team with good leadership. I felt supported while training and there was always an environment that promoted learning. There was a nice pay differential for working overnight. I would have stayed longer but I was accepted into a pathologists' assistant graduate program.
Cons
Even though the "overnight" shift is done by 3am it did start to wear on me and I felt like I did't see my friends or family as often.
Not just my opinion. But most employees that have been with CPL for more than 10 years + we're not compensated for our dedication and loyalty. CPL hires people fresh out of school or randomly at almost the same rate of pay as those that have bren there for 15 to 20 years with knowledge and years of experience. Disappointing very DISAPPOINTING!
CPL simply does not care about their employees, nor if they struggle in life on the VERYLOW wages they pay. Infectious disease... attitudes. Clients back lash... 12cyears with CPL with ridiculous items. No profit sharing like quest and labcor. If my wife lost her job I could support my family on what CPL pays me. We would be homeless. Phlebotomy is the front line of what makes this company. But we're the last in line for anything. While the higher up's make millions off what we do to make this company money.
Pros* i have had supervisors who actually care as well as co workers.
Cons
The cons* are listed above
If you want in the medical field DON'T DO PHLEBOTOMY OR MEDICAL ASSISTANCE OR CNA OR CARE GIVER. They don't pay good at all. Youre a dog
Benefits are super expensive
