Unfortunately due to recent management changes, hard work goes increasingly unrecognised.
As a person of colour, I felt my experience was marginalised and dismissed during my last few months at CloudM. I didn't feel that that was any room left for me there in the culture.
There is no pay review structure, and as the SLT only hire ex-colleagues from Xero, there is a glass ceiling in terms of progression if you aren't the favoured few.
There is a culture of fire at will, particularly if you are noticeably achieving at your job and have the temerity to question decisions made by senior members who have less experience.
This has lead to a culture of mistrust and panic which seems to be encouraged. There's no point asking for change or managing upwards as the management team are apparently completely lacking in any kind of compassion or understanding.
Staff are increasingly disconnected and silos are encouraged.
