Pros

There are literally no pros what so ever, I have never worked for a company with not one single pro!

Cons

Avoid this company at all costs… do not make the mistake I did and ignore the all the negative Glassdoor reviews! The only positive reviews on here are from management to try and balance out the bad and make it look not as bad! Staff are treated soo poorly here, as long as it looks good for LinkedIn / social media that’s all that matters. Car parking was a joke cost £42 to park on-site however the company only had 20 odd spaces for 40 people driving in … the 20 Overflow people were having to park in other companies spaces but yet Club L London was still charging for these “spaces” and keeping the money … the operations directors said there was an over head cost so it balanced out for the other spaces but this is BS. Company just lies and does everything dodgy… you should see the working conditions of their current office and warehouse based in Leicester - Needs to be shut down!!! I different from all other fast fashion companies. Have never met anyone like CEO she is stuck up and narcissistic has no respect what so ever for the employees. You will be sat in the office and hear her screaming in the meeting room at employees. You also get no sick days or benefits what so ever - on job ads they post about this amazing social team events and great benefits again this is a lie… Half hour lunch break no where to go for this so you are forced to eat your lunch at your desk. This company is very behind times, no flexibility and if you ask it’s frowned upon. Clearly favourites within the company which get away with whatever they like. I was with Club L for just under two months before I was told it “isn’t working” but they couldn’t provide me with any evidence as to what wasn’t working or where I was going wrong… still waiting to this day for that evidence! In that time (2months) 6 people left … high turn over says it all. In a nut shell the family (Randevs) need to get off their high horse, treat employees with respect they deserve and to stop doing things on the cheap and under the table… they seriously need to be knocked down a peg or two if they want this business to work. Do yourself a favour and don’t apply for a job here!

Thank you for sharing your experience; you've highlighted a number of points that we are working through & some others we will discuss as a leadership team. We've been in a state of hypergrowth for two years on the back of a pandemic and we've found it best to not shy away from acknowledging our growing pains. When our distribution site got too crowded, we invested and built a brand new one. We tried to work ahead of time for our Head Office but growth has caught up with us and we are a little crowded. With so many businesses taking the hard decision to make cuts, we feel responsible to keep recruiting and that does mean considering home working for roles that are less collaborative than others for a short term so that we can onboard our new team. It will all be worth it in January when we welcome them to their new offices, 8x the size of our current set up, and full of exciting work spaces for the next stage of our journey. Leicester is next on the list and whilst we'd love to make a start now, it just wouldn't be to the same focus levels that Glasgow, Middlewich & Manchester have had so we've agreed to wait. We are a family run business that family grows with every new employee. We'll certainly take on board your feedback for future onboarding but rest assured there are no favourites just some who have been with us for more of our journey. We'd welcome any further feedback on how we can welcome employees and make them feel part of the family from day 1. Club L is a place for passionate, hard working and ambitious individuals that thrive in fast paced environment and, judging by the personal comments you have elected to use, you did not thrive and you did not enjoy your time with us. The parking seems to be your biggest sticking point and, given your role had more visibility to this than most, you'll know that we are not the only business within the workspace and our consolidation of parking space fees and handling of the managing agent is an added employee benefit we provide. You'll be pleased to know that we now have far more spaces and are no longer ask our team to contribute to parking. Thank you again and we wish you the best of luck in your ongoing search

Pros

- Decent office - Remote working - Some nice/helpful team members

Cons

No team-bonding. Management don't know what's going on half the time, provide fake "updates" on teams chats but in reality they don't have any say or authority in how the company is running!! Fake attitudes, act like they are supportive but do not hesitate before stabbing in the back. Faking inclusion - don't fall for the social media posts, in reality they do not like anyone that is different from them or has any additional needs. They don't care about what you go through as a person, as long as so-called KPI's are being met. Acting like the job is life or death when really all they do is join teams calls and pretend to do work whilst the rest of the team are doing donkey work which isn't even appreciated! Probation period is an absolute scam, it does not take over 6 months to decide whether someone is a fit or not, they use people in the busy period to do all the work and once it quiets down they fail their probation over BS excuses which they can't even back up themselves,

Pros

Majority of the people doing the groundwork are genuinely lovely, hardworking and easy to get along with.

Cons

The overall atmosphere and morale in the office is very low , making it an exhausting place to be 5 days a week. Demands from those high up causes high anxiety and stress which trickles down the ranks, even if it has nothing to do with you, you can count on someone being rude or snapping at you as a result of their own stress. Despite being a grown adult who manages your time effectively you will find yourself being told to save personal conversations for your own time (friendly chat that would normally be encouraged to promote colleague relationships and bonding) while other judgmental comments on women's diets and bodies go unchecked. Unfortunately I found that this company lacks any real ethics, with some colleagues being put in truly difficult, unfair positions and being treated with little to no compassion. Special allowances are only made in the interest of the company, never the employee. If you're considering working here it is also worth mentioning that no facilities are provided to heat up your lunch, no microwaves at all. Despite many complaints from employees during the cold winter months when a hot meal can help someone get through the day the company still failed to provide any means for a hot lunch. Caterer's have moved out of the building complex so if you forget your lunch and do not drive you will simply have to go without given the location and lack of onsite recourses. It is hard to watch the company present themselves as truly caring for their employees when they cannot even provide basic commodities. It's a real shame as there are very talented people at Club L, but the company sees all employees as disposable rather than people who could really progress and help Club L is truly valued. The sheer amount of people that left or were fired during my time there was alarming and made me feel insecure in my own position.
