Pros

- benefits package - remote work (but that's changing) - majority of worker bees and mid-management not hired through nepotism are talented and strong contributors

Cons

- toxic positivity (look it up) is pervasive - if you aren't in the inner circle the whole "human-centered" culture they sell won't apply to you - collectively the ELT isn't really offering true leadership for the organization - no clear direction or focus - dismissive of the number of hours people are putting in to support constantly changing and contradicting requests - lack of real transparency - impulsive founders with a false urgency that creates undue stress and confusion

Pros

The company fosters an exceptional work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation. I have the privilege of working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry—colleagues who consistently challenge conventional thinking and elevate the quality of our work. The intellectual stimulation from daily interactions with such talented professionals creates opportunities for continuous learning and growth. The collective expertise and camaraderie makes even the most challenging projects enjoyable."

Cons

Here's a thoughtful way to frame a con about startup speed in a Glassdoor review: "The fast-paced startup environment often prioritized speed over process refinement. While this agility allowed us to respond quickly to market changes, it sometimes resulted in technical debt, rushed implementations, and occasional burnout among team members. Strategic planning frequently took a backseat to immediate deliverables, which created challenges for long-term sustainability. New team members sometimes struggled with the lack of documentation and established procedures." This highlights the legitimate challenges of startup speed while acknowledging the business reasons behind it, giving a balanced perspective that would be helpful to potential employees.
