Pros
Great coworkers who are bright and eager to perform at their best. Engaging work load.
Cons
Very little opportunity for growth/advancement of career.
Extremely high stress environment with long hours
Micro management of duties with very little training
I worked at Cohen for almost 5 years before I quit. In that time, I was micro-managed to the extreme. I was even told that I could not leave for lunch on certain days. I worked 10-12 hours/day, only to be threatened with a demotion to part time status and elimination of benefits if I did not take on more responsibility. My director was consistently asking me to dig up dirt on co-workers to help her fire them after just a few months on the job. We never retained employees in my department for long. My director was also known for talking to me about how stupid the other members of our team were, so who knows what she would say about me.
The best thing I ever did for myself was quit Cohen Financial and I would never recommend ANYONE to seek employment there.
