Pros
Colgate Palmolive hired a digital marketing for the first time in 2015 and I was lucky to be that person who got the job. In the country of my employment, the office had about 100+ employees, most of the concentration of which is Sales and Brand Management as well as logistics. The Digital Marketing post worked with the agency partners and somewhat with brand managers to come up with Go To Market campaigns on a consultative level. It's ok in a way that our projects are more of a total brand level, following regional directions etc. On a very awesome level, I learned very good insighting techniques at Colgat Palmolive, a bit of brand management for mouthwash and a bit of logistics as well. On another instance, Colgate Palmolive started a Summer Friday schedule wherein employees can come home middle of Friday during the summer. Benefits are also best in class, perhaps it's because the company in this country is pretty small. Senior management is pretty cool but again still very traditional which works for most but not me.
Cons
However, for the most part, Colgate still follows very linear and brand management directions, which does not work very well for digital marketing as digital requires innovation and breakthrough and Colgate Palmolive is still hinged very well on traditional media.
