Pros
When I started the staff were really inviting and when I left I felt taken cared of. The leaders made me feel welcomed and made time to make sure I knew what I had to do.
Cons
It was common to hear people speak very openly their opinions on a variety of topics which is very uncomfortable. I did not get paid for two weeks and the excuse was they forgot/never got notice to approve my time. Feedback is given in a high-strung manner. There is no care about surroundings as many of the appliances used are often not cleaned properly; there were no soap used to clean the beakers until recently. Was made very aware of how I was perceived in the workplace despite making simple mistakes. People are opinionated. You may not get the proper training to do your work properly as often times, at least in my case, experiments were done in a very rushed manner causing massive confusion and increased workload which would have been avoided if things were done the way it was supposed to. Once you're in the job you're basically locked in, its your career almost. So, if you do not want to work at Colgate for the rest of your career find another place.
