Pros
I have been with the company for a few months now. I was worried that after graduating I wasn't going to be able to find a viable career that can help me grow and develop skills for my future.
My family was laid off after working for 40 years with their previous employer, so I wanted to know I had the security of working with people who cared about me. I wanted people who were going to make me feel like my personal, career, and life goals matter and not just be a number for the company.
I am so lucky to have found this group that has helped grow the instant I started working with them. My trainer is the most patient, friendly, and hard working person I have ever met. He creates vision and always has the next step we need to take in order to hit our goals.
I want to grow and develop my skills to be able to be a strong leader like he is. I want to help others around me grow. To see where I was when I started working here with bad habits like not knowing how to budget, someone who would show up late a few minutes (because it wasn't too late that anyone would notice), to being held accountable for the goals I have for myself. I want to be that person for someone else.
Cons
This. is. hard. There is no way around it. You have to work hard. I came into this company with previous misconceptions: I thought I knew what work ethic was; I thought I knew what accountability was; I thought I was a logical person and didn't respond to things emotionally; I thought I was confident in my every day life.
I learned I was not. I had to develop those skills throughout the few months I have been here. That was hard. But I am excited for more training because there is always something more to learn.
