Pros

-Good guys to work with. Made some great friends - Projects are diverse so lots to learn and become a well rounded electrician - Pay is pretty competitive for non-union company in vancouver that's not a highrise company. This year 2025, Jman rate at $44.

Cons

- Journeyman to apprentice ratio is way off, we one time had 1 red seal journeyman and 15 apprentices in a site. - Pay raise for apprentices per level of school and hours. And for Jmans pay raise only if you become a lead hand or foreman. (other than yearly $2 increase) So bad workers get paid the same or more sometimes in this company and good workers don't get rewarded.

Pros

I worked only for 6 months before moving. Great company, straightforward compensation. If you work hard and make a good effort that is rewarded and respected. Even when I moved they tried to arrange service work for me. Good guys to work with and management was good too.

Cons

None. If you like not working or looking at your phone probably not a good fit.

Pros

40 hours a week. Lots of work. Chances for OT

Cons

Will give you more and more responsibility but will say you have to “ prove” yourself before getting a raise. This usually takes a year or more of running a job at journeyman wage
