Pros

Humble people from before the new CEOs taking place. Consumer driven. Investment on brands. Good salaries and bonuses. Flexible hours

Cons

No clear business direction. Too many people with strong opinions and without clear roles; on the other way not many people to execute projects. Family owned business with a lot of previous big corporations previous employees. No investment on people. Fear of taking risks.

Pros

Combe has everything you would look for in a small company. Fast agile decision making, entrepreneurial spirit, ability to have impactful contributions, coupled with amazing coworkers who are extremely resilient and have immense care for the business. Additionally, compensation at Combe is very strong and Combe has a strong culture of honesty, data based decision making, and constructive feedback. Combe also has a two day a week in office policy, which provides nice flexibility

Cons

The rate of change, be it tools, people, or management responsibility is unsustainable, and signals a lack of true company direction other than “sell more product”. Expect the systems you use, the people you interact with, and who your boss is to change at least once a year, leaving you to pivot and redefine your ways of working, and limiting your ability to contribute long term impacts Additionally, the workload is significantly imbalanced between groups of extremely high performers, and low performing delegators. Resources are very limited, and constantly dwindling, especially when so much duplicative work happens due to the constant pivoting back and forth Lastly, the companies NPD pipeline and launches, again tied to a lack of strategic vision, are extremely poor.
