Felt like an unnecessary piece to an impressive group - Front Desk Receptionist Comcast Ventures Employee Review

Pros

Team is (mostly) very nice and all keep to themselves. The location in SF is great and easily commutable. The office is clean and posh. Great benefits including $10-$20 high speed internet and cable.

Cons

There's little to no interest in the growth of entry level staff. Executive Assistant supervisors make mountains out of molehills, micromanage, and make every single task feel like it's the final seconds of the Super Bowl. Supervisors will also expect you to read their minds, and get upset with you for not doing something they never explicitly asked for (mostly because the head honcho yelled at them about it). The tech in their building is laughably old, considering they're one of the world's leading media companies, and you will be expected to anxiously fix it in the middle of meetings while millionaires stare at you.

Pros

pretty office with gorgeous interior design in soho free beer sometimes good snacks fun projects sometimes nice people in general

Cons

aggressive CD/ tends to have tantrums all while being some omniscient being that you only hear about, CD doesn't care to know or collaborate with anyone who's not upper level Comcast doesn't want to actually hire people, everyone's a contractor layoffs that result in people picking up the slack in tremendous ways no prospects of being hired or opportunities to grow zero creative freedom/ micromanaged down to every single detail of a design very disorganized archaic technology with zero interest in new ways of thinking or new approaches
