Pros

Above average pay for industry

Cons

They hired me. I told them weeks before training started I took a shift with another company I currently work for on x mas Eve. I got through 2 days of training. That Friday they texted me to not come to pick up my badge and schedule and I was locked out of my care app. I think they fired me for asking about accommodating x mas Eve that I was working elsewhere. I think they got annoyed and just fired me. I have no idea why they fired me I tried calling multiple times for an explanation no answer or reply. I called again and they blocked my number. I could take off if I absolutely had to for their schedule but they didn’t even give me a chance to resolve this. Clearly they have a short fuse and are very intolerant towards their employees. Not worth being treated so poorly - there are other agencies who have nicer management. You are nothing without our labor, remember that! Value your employees. Ignorant and unprofessional. Not impressed. Extremely unreasonable and unaccommodating . I was completely shocked and blindsided that people act like this in 2023. Ignorant judgmental people. As a college graduate who studied business management this is definitely not how I would run a company. After reading other reviews on another platform I would agree about the comments about harsh rules. If you want to act like that get a career as a police officer…. Managing people in this field with that attitude will not get you far. Rubs people the wrong way. They fired me for inquiring about asking about a day off. (Which I could have accommodated them if they absolutely needed me to, they didn’t not entertain that dialogue instead blocked me and didn’t answer my calls and i assumed fired me since i was locked out of care app and told don’t come to pick up my badge ). Bizarre. They have a point systems it’s like the 3rd call off you get fired or something. Seems premature and judgmental. They jumped the gun. Don’t judge people until after events happen and if there is a pattern of behavior of actual call offs that actually happen. Have a little more patience and tolerance especially for new hires who might have more than 1 job. My current employer another home care agency says I’m one of their most reliable caregivers. Your loss.

Pros

Great pay and benefit opportunities. The message of the company is good and the owners are incredibly welcoming. They provided all the equipment and were quick to get you whatever you needed.

Cons

The office environment was extremely toxic. It was very "cliche" with everyone saying awful things about each other. Yelling, slamming and throwing things was a regular occurrence. The lack of empathy towards the clients as well as caregivers was abhorrent. The training was lackluster with the view of corrective action instead of preventive action with mistakes. I was constantly ignored or snapped at when asking questions. After spending a day training at another office, I fully believe the toxicity is centered around this one office in particular and does not translate over to the other offices.
