Pros
All my coworkers are amazing. The owners have a lot of pride in their hotels and staff and go out of their way to make a positive environment and excellent company culture. Every employee is pleasant, hardworking, and invested in doing a good job.
Cons
The work is difficult and very physical. Carrying giant loads of dirty laundry down the hall, wrestling with beds to tuck the sheets in, scrubbing the shower. A lot of my coworkers complain about it killing their back and knees. It's gross too- about half the toilets have pee or worse on the seat or the floor and alot of guests absolutely trash the rooms. Getting called off is common in the off season so you can't count on this to be 40 hrs/wk.
