Between the culture of the business and employee attitudes, I couldn't imagine a better company to work for. - Anonymous employee Comm-Works Employee Review

Pros

The people create an office culture you want to be in. It is a learning atmosphere. Newly graduated, I am not expected to know everything nor do it perfectly the first time. The important thing is that I learn. When I complete a task for the first time, I receive constructive criticism and an explanation as to why those changes are being made. Based on feedback I make corrections and try again. There is no better way to learn. The upper management understands a work life balance, you aren't expected to work 24/7 and it is encouraged not to. The upper management are reachable and are prompt to answer questions/ provide direction. We get an unusual amount of days off. For example, for the holidays break we had Christmas to New Years off. Due to where they fell on the 2013 calendar that was 6 work days total. There is a gym in the building. Free bagels and cream cheese on Fridays. Often the office will hold parties or gatherings. For example we had a Tropical Party in February to celebrate Summer in the harshest Minnesota winter since 1981. When we have a new employee, they introduce themselves on their first Friday, by rolling a beer cart around the office.

Cons

We recently switched from Caribou coffee to Javia coffee. There is a good amount of employee hires on a temporary basis due to the inconsistencies in work flow of the industry. We do not get snow days, but we get to use our discretion on when we should leave the office to get home safely and timely.
