Most projects are mainly mobile projects with little need for backend so if you are in these projects you develop middleware code which is unimaginative. Also, these projects are mostly idle for backend developers which create lots of free time. This feels good in the beginning but with the time you become bored and lack improvement. Salaries are below average.
