Good company - Teacher Community Action Agency Employee Review

Management have always been open and honest with me, understood our departmental needs, and have fully supported us in the effort to equip staff with the digital tools they need to succeed in helping clients in the counties we serve. I have always been accepted and respected as a member of the staff, even though I am a contractor.

We do not get performance evaluations like employees, so it would be nice to know where we stand as an employee from year to year outside of just having our contract renewed. But I acknowledge that we are a special case due to being contractors.

As an anti-poverty organization, we have the opportunity to help people help themselves and that is very rewarding. The organization has a culture of inclusivity and strives to help people, including our own staff, reach their full potential. Beyond the rewards of helping others, the Agency has decent pay and excellent benefits including health care, retirement and tuition reimbursement among others.

The nature of the work we do can be stressful and burnout is a real thing unless adequate self-care is prioritized.
