If you are a realtor that is already super successful and basically independent you will have a great time here at Compass. If you feel encumbered by your brokerage, then you will like Compass's completely hands off approach. Please note- Compass does not care about you or even if what you are doing is legal. As long as you can make your quota - you are good.
Cons
If you are a staff member who wants to keep their head down and just provide good service - good luck. The upper management will use you like toilet paper. The staff was stretched thin even before covid, and now with the most recent round of layoffs it's even worse. During the first round of layoffs in 2020, they laid off the people with the most severance accrued. This indicates that they knew all along that more mass layoffs were coming, and they didn't want those employees to be paid more. It's been nothing but layoffs since.
