Thank you for the positive feedback and for your service to the firm! 100% agree - listening to our team and taking action is our path to ensuring we build a company that our consultants consider a “best place to work”! We’re very proud of the work we’ve done to build our small yet mighty team, and glad that you’re a part of it. How does one build a great “Entrepreneurial” culture? First, hire amazing talent that is passionate about contributing to growth. Next, ensure both leadership and team members are aligned on a common vision. From there, it’s about active listening, putting those great ideas into action, and continuously improving. This only happens when consultants are given the space and autonomy to enable positive change. People Excellence has and will always remain a top priority for the firm. - CompassX Executive Leadership Team

Pros

I joined CompassX from a mid-sized consulting firm and so far it's been a great move. I feel like my perspectives and experience are valued and are seen as a benefit to the company, and the people who I work with really seem to care. The work itself feels meaningful, with interesting projects where each win (big or small) seems to have a big impact and celebrated by everyone. Since joining, the practice areas seem to be evolving and maturing, and I've been able to sharpen my skills by being pushed outside my comfort zone at times. Unlike my last company, there are no mandatory CompassX office days, but I know where the leaders or colleagues are each week if I want to meet in person. I've also enjoyed the in person events and other team meet ups,

Cons

As it's a small firm, sometimes there can be missing pieces or gaps e.g. there aren’t always standardized tools, predefined templates or playbooks like at larger consultancies. Sometimes this means more freedom to do things your own way, but can be frustrating if starting from scratch too often. The teams are pretty lean so work can get busy for short bursts of time to meet client expectations. Also need to be willing to wear multiple hats or flex into other areas to keep the show on the road.

Thank you for the thoughtful review – we’re so glad to hear your experience at CompassX has been a meaningful one so far. Creating an environment where people feel valued, supported, and challenged is crucial to us, so it’s great to hear that this is reflected in your experience. We also appreciate your perspective on where we can continue to evolve – as a growing firm, we know there’s still work to do in building out more structure and tools. Thanks again for being part of the journey – we’re lucky to have you on the team! - CompassX Team
