Pros
Small, (but fast growing) company, so there are lots of internal career opportunities available to you if you're a go-getter and you communicate your desires to learn and grow with the company. Flexibility and a can-do attitude are traits that are appreciated here. Due to the smaller size of the company, one can easily talk with and get to know the owner/CEO and others in leadership. Similarly, other colleagues are very helpful and approachable, and willing to share their expertise and knowledge. Especially when you're starting out in a new role, and when it comes to working on projects and lending a helping hand where needed. Nice benefits, including Summer Hours and opportunities for telecommuting (great perk)! Plus: good health insurance choices, PTO policy, 401k, transit benefit, etc. Complimentary Starbucks coffee service, tea, and breakfast foods/snacks are available to everyone. Regular office happy hours, monthly birthday breakfasts, and occasional company outings for those who like to socialize with their co-workers. However, those who do not wish to do so are not required to attend. Transparent company culture. Entire company is updated on current news and developments on a monthly basis.
Cons
Office is rather quiet if you're used to working in a louder environment (though some may see this as a pro depending on your tolerance for noise). Not a bad thing since it means the company is doing well, but changes occur frequently due to the continual growth of the business, so one needs to be able to roll with the punches here. If you aren't adaptable to change, you may struggle. Similarly, due to the nature of the business, work is fast-paced and that may be stressful to those who work at a slower pace or who struggle with juggling multiple responsibilities at once. Ability to multi-task is helpful.
