      Not much presents of a Union so it’s good for them.

      Cons

      Too much retention- constantly recruiting and getting nowhere. Nobody aware of our work. You can get AP higher but no other grade in there can get higher salary because open competitions take place for AP higher unlike other public/civil organisations. Dodgy recruiting you interview for a job and placed on a order of merit and then they can go back and look at your CV and not offer you a role?

      Pros

      Work-life balance. Interesting work and good people to work with.

      Cons

      I would say that there's a lack of leadership courses offered at the lower levels but given to all of the higher levels which creates a barrier to expansion ironically. Hiring comes in waves at different levels, it's been quite quiet at HEO level and below for the first half of 2026.
