Pros

Most of the other engineers were fun to work with because we were all in the same cesspool and knew we had to stick together to make it through each work day. The customers who knew this often were the ones sitting beside us at the end of the day drinking a beer with us.

Cons

- There are no training incentives. Training and industry certifications were required per job descriptions but all study time and learning expenses including exam fees were the employees responsibility After which the company reaped all of the benefits of the certifications. - Pay is 50% less than industry standard - Management is completely disconnected from the employees and don't care about the people. Money talks with this company. - Regardless of the situation, the customer is ALWAYS right and the employees made the wrong decisions and screwed up the infrastructure. Management never consulted with the engineers for the full story, we were constantly thrown under the bus. - The company was sold to customers as "only hiring senior level engineer" when in reality everyone who was hired was junior level at best. - Even though it was not written, management expected 60+ hours/week from each employee and anyone giving less was not looked upon as a team player - The value were WAY out of whack with any other decent company. Employees were looked upon as expendable and replaceable and a warm body was far more valuable than the knowledge, personality, and expertise that they brought to the table - The CEO gives the persona of being a church-going southern Christian family man to customers but behind closed doors is quite the opposite. He doesn't trust his employees, feels that work is more important than family time and expects work related decisions to come before family decisions. On-Call? forget about spending time with the family when you have to solve ALL issues single-handed with little to no compensation for giving up this valuable time.

Management Collaboration and teamwork Invests in employees Promotes work life balance

Cons

Honestly, none. It’s a great place to work, grow, and learn. The company has morals intact and upper management are trustworthy, transparent, and are willing to hear out feedback as well as implement change for the greater good of their employees, not just their wallets. It’s been an extremely positive experience so far.

Kind, patient management. Friendly atmosphere, supportive team. Decent benefits. Lots of longstanding employees, low job turnover.

Cons

Pay is not great, not a whole lot of opportunity to move up, not very many training/learning resources
